the Public School does not.

Parents: You will need to transport your child(ren) to and
from school that day because there is no bus.

K-8 PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES

Please note the sign up sheet for Parent-Teacher Conferences elsewhere in this newsletter. The dates and times available for parents with students in grades K-8 are Thursday, November 9, 3:00-8:00 p.m., and Friday, November 10, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Please complete and return this form ASAP or by Friday, November 3, at the latest. Families who do not return a sheet will be assigned a time.

WE NEED YOUR HELP WITH A GREAT FUNDRAISER!

Zion Lutheran School is again participating in Herberger’s Community Day Sale on Saturday, November 11. Please purchase a $5.00 coupon packet in the office. The $5.00 you pay for the packet is kept by Zion School. Each coupon packet contains one $10.00 coupon and six 20% off coupons good for almost any merchandise item at Herberger’s. If you are not available on November 11 to use your coupons, you can use them to reserve items a week prior to this event, beginning on Sunday, November 5.

ELDEN’S FUNDRAISER

Zion School is now participating in a new fund raising program sponsored by Elden’s Food Fair. The "Register Tapes for Education Program" helps us earn free educational equipment by collecting register receipts from Elden’s Food Fair. The tapes can be deposited in Zion’s clear plastic tub as you leave Elden’s or they can be brought or sent to school. Only receipts dated September 1, 2006 – March 31, 2007 are eligible for this year. Please help us with this new fund raising project. Questions?? Please contact Miss Bowden or the school office. Thanks for your help.

Reminder: Christmas Card orders are due no later than Wednesday morning, November 1^st. Please be sure order totals are calculated neatly and accurately.

Don’t forget this Wednesday night – we will be assembling Habitat for Humanity Bracelets here at Zion church beginning at 5:30 p.m. Call Bonnie Brooks (762-7829) by tonight if you will be coming.

Picture retake day is this Friday, November 3. Information should be coming home today with your child(ren).

Zion’s Fall Festival, put on by 7 ^th -8 ^th grade students for grades PS-6, will be held on the afternoon of Friday , November 3^rd (PS on Thursday, November 2 ^nd ). Each family is asked to donate a bag of candy (individually wrapped pieces) for this event. All children will receive a small bag of candy variety on this day. Candy may be brought in anytime through October 31^st . Thanks for your cooperation!

- A couple of parent volunteers are needed to help serve popcorn and juice to classes on the afternoon of the Fall Festival, Friday, November 3 ^rd , from approximately 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. If you are able to help, please contact Mrs. Rousu by Wednesday, November 1 ^st . Thank you!

SKI DAY IS FRIDAY, DECEMBER 1. MORE INFORMATION IN NOVEMBER!!

The Auction is Coming!!!!!!

Saturday, November 18th is the Zion School Auction . Join us for an evening of fun! Invite your family and friends to join you for the evening and support Zion Lutheran School. Do your Christmas Shopping at the auction - there is something for everyone in every price range!

Auction bills are available to distribute. If you are willing to help distribute them contact Shelly (762-0788) or pick them up in the office.

Since printing the Auction Bill, we received another item – a new Remington Model 597 Synthetic 22 Caliber with scope.
